“Leaves Under the Sun” is a short story about a woman working on a farm for a summer, and gradually noticing strange things about the farm, her hostess, and her hostess’ family. It was published by Gorgon’s Gaze Press in an anthology of unconventional vampire stories.

My Neighbor

“My Neighbor” is a drabble, which is a flash fiction piece of exactly 100 words. The prompt for the piece was “Hunting With The Wolves,” and the piece could be inspired by that name alone, or by the song of the same name by The Mystic Euphoria Project. Allium

“Allium” is a short story about a woman who slowly begins to realize that her girlfriend is a vampire. It is inspired by “Carmilla,” by J. Sheridan Le Fanu. It was published by The Writer’s Study, an organization based in Sioux Falls, SD, in their first anthology.

“The Many Sounds of Words” placed 1st in the grades 11-12 portion of the Anoka County Library Write On! 2023 Short Story Contest. It was an experiment in short story writing without dialogue, and follows a young woman living in a society with no spoken language, who is trying to find a way to express her love for another. It has been published as a part of an ebook anthology with the rest of the winners and honorable mentions from the contest.
